This important
cultural legacy is situated in the Karakoram mountain range in
northern Pakistan .This historic mountain Baltit fort (Hunza) is
years ago. Old Baltit fort is rest orated by AKTC.Know Baltit
fort is use as a museum and cultural activities. This building
was a dowry of royal family when a princess of Baltistan married
the reigning Prince of Hunza. In the boundary of the canvas the
elegant carved motifs are taken from Baltit fort interior and
exterior like pillars doors widows pots etc.This evidence can be
studied in its local geographic environment but more than that
it can be placed in a wider perspective of wood art and rook art
as known from the surrounding areas in the Trans-Pamir Central
Asia Ladakh, Kashmir and Swat. Northern Areas of Pakistan can
well speak in the language of cultural continuity from
prehistory to history. So these important points are most
vividly reflecting the region’s heritage.
